The role of the glass condenser

       Used in distillation liquid or organic preparation, for condensation or reflux.

  The condenser is usually used on a flask to be tested under reflux conditions or on a distillation bottle to collect the condensed liquid. The condensation of vapor occurs on the inner wall of the inner tube. The space enclosed by the inner and outer tubes is The water area has the function of absorbing vapor heat and removing the heat. The water inlet usually has a high water pressure. In order to prevent the water pipe from falling off, the plastic tube should be tied with a tube bundle. When used under reflux conditions, the condenser tube The lower end of the glass tube is inserted into a rubber stopper so that it can be inserted into the mouth of the flask to receive the vapor evaporated upwards in the flask.

  Recirculating condenser: In the case of volatile liquid reactants, in order to avoid loss of reactants and make full use of the raw materials, a condensing reflux device is designed in the generating device to return the gas to a liquid state after condensation, thereby refluxing and collecting. The chamber can be realized by installing a long glass tube or a condensing return tube in the generating device.


 

  Straight condenser

  It is composed of straight glass tube with internal and external combination. It is mostly used for distillation operation. The steam temperature is less than 140 degrees, and it can not be used for reflow. There are connection pipe joints on the upper and lower sides of the outer tube for use as water inlet and outlet. Usage: Use When the lower end of the connection port is connected to the faucet with a plastic tube, it is used as a water inlet. Because the water temperature at the water inlet is low, the water heated by the steam has a higher temperature; the hot water is automatically reduced due to the density decrease. Upflow helps the circulation of cooling water.

  Spherical condenser

  The inner tube is connected by a plurality of glass spheres for refluxing organic preparation, and is suitable for liquids of various boiling points.

  After long-term use, the rust in the spacer can be washed away with hydrochloric acid. Disadvantages: the liquid after condensation is solidified easily

  It is stuck in the glass ball. Because the water pressure of the water inlet is high, the hose is easy to fall off, and it should be tied with iron wire when using.

  Serpentine condenser

  Reflow for organic preparation, suitable for liquids with lower boiling points.
